The raw materials that are used in the casting process include aluminum ingots, hardeners, and scrap, among others.
Melting Furnace and Holding Furnace
Molten metal from the melting furnace moves to the holding furnace, where the molten metal is stripped of gas and its composition is adjusted before moving to the caster. The key alloy metals are inputted into the melting furnace, and the composition of the molten metal is adjusted as desired. In the holding furnace, the composition is adjusted once again, if necessary, and all fluxing (or cleansing) is done.
Casting
After degassing and filtration, the molten metal undergoes direct chill casting and comes out as slabs
Slab, Sheet Ingot
After the melting and casting process, we obtain slabs, which are rectangular sheet ingots. They differ in size depending on the dimensions and weight of the finished products into which they will be made.
